ASEP, Austrian Senior Experts Pool, was founded in 1988 by leading Austrian entrepreneurs. The not-for-profit association comprises more than 200 retired managers and experts who are concentrating on assistance in the fields of economy and administration. They work from the principle of  'help-your-self‘. Their essential concern is the economic success of small and medium size enterprises and their employees. The yearly volume is about 70 domestic and 40 international assignments. Funding is through contributions from the beneficiaries and limited support from industry.
